It connects to USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 enabled laptops, tablets and desktops and provides a Gigabit Ethernet port for wired connectivity where Wi-Fi is unavailable or the computer lacks a working Ethernet port. The Ethernet port supports reliable file transfer speeds up to 1000 Mbps, while PXE boot lets a computer boot from a server on the network before loading its local operating system. Its compact form factor makes it suitable for portable use.
