Overview

The Eaton Tripp Lite series SmartPro SMART1000RM2U is a 1000VA / 800W line-interactive UPS designed to protect servers, network storage, telecom hardware, and other rack-mounted IT equipment. It provides regulated sine wave output, battery backup, surge suppression, and voltage regulation for reliable power protection in network and server environments. The UPS includes six NEMA 5-15R outlets and provides approximately 15 minutes of runtime at half load and 5.3 minutes at full load. Its internal lead-acid batteries are hot-swappable and can be replaced in the field, while the typical recharge time is about four hours. Automatic Voltage Regulation maintains 120V nominal output across an input range of 83V to 147V without using battery power. Two remotely controllable load banks allow selected outlets to be rebooted or nonessential equipment to be shut down, while 570-joule surge protection and EMI/RFI filtering help protect connected devices from electrical disturbances. A rotating front-panel LCD displays operating mode, load, voltage, battery charge, and estimated runtime. USB, DB9 serial, and EPO connectivity support monitoring and emergency shutdown functions through PowerAlert software, and optional network management cards can be added for remote management. The SMART1000RM2U installs in 2U of standard 19-inch rack space and is backed by a 3-year limited warranty.
